Awards season is all set to kick-start and while Vidya Balan (The Dirty Picture) and Priyanka Chopra (7 Khoon Maaf) are expected to compete for some of the most notable performances of the year, Kareena Kapoor is comfortably wearing the crown of being the numero uno in the business as far as box office moolah is concerned. Of course with Heroine this year, she could well be preparing for an award winning performance as well but as far as commercial gains are concerned, Kareena is the only one to have managed two more centuries, what with Bodyguard as well as Ra.One netting over Rs.100 crores.

Says an industry insider, "Though for detractors she could well be termed as manipulative, calculative, scheming and what not, the fact remains that Kareena is the first name that comes in mind of the biggest of filmmakers when they announce their mega budget films. She may or may not be central or an integral part of the whole affair but in an industry where a leading lady is known by the strength that she can lend to a project, Kareena is obviously ruling the roost since she is the only actress with four Rs.100 crore earners, including 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3."

Tell Kareena this and she expectedly walks the diplomatic path.

"Honestly speaking, there was no game-plan as such; everything has just happened with things falling in place", smiles Kareena, "I don't think I have ever made a statement that I want to be in this film or that film. It's just that based on what has come my way, I have selected the best."

By best, she could well be referring to the series of films she did with the Top-3 Khans (Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh) and would now be continuing with Saif Ali Khan (Agent Vinod) and Imran Khan (Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu)

"If all Khans offer me their films at the same time, it just shows that God has been kind to me", she smiles, "I can't plan that Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Saif and Imran make movies at the same time. Now if that has indeed happened in a matter of two years, it is pretty much a coincidence. Having said that I must add that I am loving every moment that is coming my way."

We too love that lady.
