Actor Kareena Kapoor is expected to be back in town from Delhi today, where she had flown to be by the side of beau, actor Saif Ali Khan after the sad demise of his father, cricket legend Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. The Kapoor girl was in Delhi with the Pataudi family all through, as they performed the last rites.

“We are expecting her back in Mumbai today and she will resume work immediately on her return. She has been grieving for the past few days, but will now have to drag herself to work, because life has to go on,” says a source close to the actor.

Kareena, sources say, has told co-star Shah Rukh Khan that she is available for the promotions of his movie Ra.One, which had come to a halt due to the tragedy. Shah Rukh apparently has asked Kareena to take it easy and take as much time as required before returning.

“The promotions are on, but Shah Rukh has asked Kareena to take it easy and not push herself too much. He has told Kareena to take as much of family time as she wants to at the moment,” the source adds.

However, Kareena will be immersing herself in work for the next few days and wait till Saif comes back to Mumbai. “She will hold the reigns till Saif comes back and joins her. There’s certain work to be done on Agent Vinod as well. However, Kareena knows that Saif will take some more time as there’s lots to be handled back home there,” the source adds.
