No designer gowns and dresses for Kareena Kapoor. The actress has been wearing her Golmaal 3 T-shirts with interesting dialogues from the film written on them for all the promotional events of the film. Last week she was seen on Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Star Plus's Chote Ustad wearing the tees from G3.
In Golmaal 3 she plays a character called Dabboo, who according to Bebo is, "a bit of a tomboy and chavanni chhaap.
When we sat down to discuss the look of the character we felt that she should wear interesting tees. The idea to have the dialogues on the tees was Manish's (Malhotra)."
The T-shirts with messages were created specially for her character, "Dabboo is a total film buff and watches all Hindi films. She spouts Hindi film dialogues at the drop of a hat.
So we had tees which had famous Hindi film dialogues like Kitne aadme the Kaalia, Main apni favorite hoon, Mind it rascal, Chal Dhanno, Jahanpanah tussi great ho! written on them.
Rohit and Manish were very clear that though Dabboo was a tomboy, the character should dress masculine. The tees are subtly feminine."
Bebo adds, "Many people have already approached my marketing agency and G3 producers Ashtavinayak for tie up to merchandise the tees at various outlets for purchase.
We will be working out a strategy for the marketing and sale of the T-shirts after the release."
