Kareena Perfect for My Next Movie: Madhur Bhandarkar

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor would be perfect for the role of rise and fall of Bollywood heroines and their lonely times, says Madhur Bhandarkar, the renowned Indian movie director who is known for his woman-oriented films.
Of the nine films Madhur has directed so far, five have had women protagonists — Tabu in Chandni Bar, Raveena Tandon in Satta, Konkona Sen Sharma in Page 3, Bipasha Basu in Corporate and Priyanka Chopra in Fashion.
Once again, Bhandarkar is all set to direct a film on the rise and fall of the Bollywood heroine.
“Madhur is planning a film on the rise and fall of heroines, who work hard to get a foothold in the industry and eventually earn name, fame and money, but soon have a fall too. He is planning to get into the thick of the concept by researching on real life stories of actresses in Bollywood.”
When contacted by Deccan Chronicle, Madhur Bhandarkar said, “Yes, I am planning a film with a woman-oriented theme again. It will be based on the rise and fall of heroines and their lonely times. I have not yet finalised the leading lady, but I feel Kareena Kapoor would be perfect for the role.”
