Looking gorgeous in a white, stylish gown, Katrina Kaif made a grand entry as she alighted from a spaceship Carnival Time Bipasha Basu flanked off the evening with her carnival style performance. The dusky babe grooved to the beats of the All The Best title-track with a huge entourage of background dancers. The whole stage was done up in bright colours with the dancers dressed up in bright outfits. The stage was set ablaze with fireworks and a live band played the drums and disappeared into the crowd in the audience. While All the best played in the background, some popular dance steps from Dhan te nan, Kaminey, the Paa theme, Zooby dooby from 3 Idiots, Aahun aahun from Love Aaj Kal and Yeh duniya badi gol hai from Dev.D were incorporated. Bipasha wore a short, white embellished dress and the dance carnival ended with a thumbs-up and All The Best slogan.
Power-packed Right from spelling his name to Fahid to grooving to the Dhan te nan track, Shahid Kapoor looked every inch the Charlie from Kaminey. Never mind the clean-shaven, close crop haircut! His trademark line, “Main fa ko fa bolta hoon” kicked off his performance. The actor sported a ganjee with military pants and showed off his lean physique. The performance was power-packed with the background dancers using guns as the main prop. Fireworks were on display with dancers performing crazy stunts. Shahid’s exit too was top class - he left the stage riding a motorbike with a pretty girl riding pillion! The female population went ga-ga over his good looks and even better moves! Clearly, the Kaminey effect hasn't worn off!
Trump Card Adark stage suddenly came to life as Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone narrated a few lines from his forthcoming film Teen Patti. Lights on, and the cast of the film comprising R. Madhavan and newcomers Shraddha Kapoor, Vaibhav Talwar, Dhruv Ganesh and Sidharth performed jazz to the strains of a snazzy cabaret number Teri neeyat kharaab. It was a symbolic act from the film in which Amitabh plays the protagonist. Here, Volga, a dancer from abroad, attempts to lure and seduce him. Though he matches her moves step-by-step, he remains unaffected by her wiles. Hence he is dressed in white, which symbolises purity. His co-stars, who give into temptation, are attired in black!
Bebo Unplugged The audience held their breath as the lovely Kareena Kapoor made her appearance on a gigantic stilletto. Wearing a shimmering top and a bright red lehenga the actress slowly slid down the shoe and danced to the strains of the soulful Shukranallah from Kurbaan. The dance steps were slow and graceful and her expressions poignant. The dozen odd dancers enhanced the act. The number soon changed to the vibrant Bebo main Bebo and Kareena’s skirt gave way to a pair of trendy trousers. This time Kapoor stunned the audience with her sexy twists and turns.
Most Wanted Salman Khan’s performance drew the maximum number of cat- calls, literally. Girls didn’t stop screaming his name from the time the hunky hero glided on stage through an opening, till the time he sank back into it. Wearing a red coat like the one he wore in his film, London Dreams, Khan dazzled on stage as he grooved to lines from his popular songs, from Oh oh jaane jaana to Mera hi jalwa. What was catchy about his performance was that instead of the regular professional dancers Khan boogied with about 50 kids. These little dancers were selected from the popular television reality show Boogie Woogie. The kids stunned the guests with their flexibility and smooth moves. And did he remove his shirt on stage? No! But he shed his red coat, sending the girls into a frenzy!
Alien beautyLooking gorgeous in a white embellished gown, Katrina Kaif made a grand entry as she got out of a spaceship. The background dancers were dressed in yellow and white. Katrina herself donned two different looks. Initially, dressed like a fairy, she swayed gracefully to her hit romantic number Tera hone laga hoon from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. When the song changed to Dil tera dhadkan teri, the sexy star changed her tempo and did a hip-hop dance leaving the audience enthralled.
