Police have arrested three domestic servants of Kareena Kapoor for allegedly stealing goods worth Rs 2.55 lakh from her suburban Khar Road residence here. Police today said the three accused -- Anita Kamaldas Osami (35), Tina Shankar Yadav (26) and Pawansingh Chouhan (24) were arrested in connection with robbery of Rs 2.14 lakh cash, a gold ring worth Rs 25,000 and a pearl set worth Rs 16,000 on October five.
Police said on October five, Anita had seen Kareena's secretary keeping a bag containing Rs 2.14 lakh in their cupboard, and decided to steal it. Mr Khan had also informed Kareena's former actor mother Babita about the money.
Later on October 8, when Kareena found the bag missing she questioned all the ten servants househelps about the money. However, none of them revealed the truth. Suspecting the involvement of their servants in the robbery, the family lodged a complaint with the police. Fearing legal action, finally the trio admitted the offence on October 15, police said.
