The director arrived about two hours later while the stars, Kareena and Aamir waited at a nearby five star hotel. Kareena finally arrived at 8 pm and one of her make-up artists remarked, “Madam ka mood theek nahi hain. Itni der se intezar kar rahi hain aur ab yah itni bheed hai.”
Kareena was dressed in a casual kurta and salwar, with broad frame specs and straight hair the make-up artist explained: “Dilli ki ladkiyan aise hi kapde pehnti hain naa.”
On the other hand, Aamir arrived looking fresh, in a pink t-shirt and jeans. After his scene was shot, the star spent quite a while chatting with the crew while sipping a cutting (chai).
The shoot wrapped up at about 4.30 am. Interestingly, all these scenes in Delhi will be shot at night.
A Reporters Escapade: As we looked around, trying to figure out what was going on and hoping to get some contacts in place, one of the crewmembers called out to me, asking if I was a ‘part of the sequence’.
But judging the dumbfounded expression on my face, soon realized I wasn’t. Having got the cut that I could possibly fit in, I headed to a group of young, extremely decked up guys and girls who were being briefed by a middle aged man on how to go about the ‘crowd-shot’.
Soon, a man yelled out, rolling. Not sure whether that was a cue, or whether they were even filming, I pretended to be a part of the shot, desperately trying not to look out of place. Within minutes, the same guy yelled out ‘cut’, much to my relief. In all probability, it was just a rehearsal, but you never know… maybe I was part of the real deal.
