Ever since then, the duo has been seen together in BEWAFAA, DOSTI - FRIENDS FOREVER and TASHAN. While BEWAFAA still managed to sail smooth at least, DOSTI - FRIENDS FOREVER was successful mainly in overseas while TASHAN was one of Akshay's biggest flop ever before CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA happened.


Even before AITRAAZ, Akshay-Kareena pairing was seen in TALAASH.... THE HUNT BEGINS but the film had vanished with a trace. And their sole big success before AITRAAZ, AJNABEE (which was again an Abbas-Mustan film), didn't have the two paired opposite each other.

Which makes one look at KAMBAKKHT ISHQ with huge anticipation. After all this is the first film ever to feature the two in an outing which is centered primarily on their characters. Also a lethal mix of romance, action, comedy and everything else which is much needed for a 'masala' entertainment fare, makes one look forward to KAMBAKKHT ISHQ with great hope.

Now it has to be seen if debutant director Sabbir Khan has managed to achieve what quite a few of his predecessors couldn't. Fingers crossed!
