She had first allotted her dates to Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod and then to Dhruv. However, with the ongoing multiplex-producer war, the release date of Saif’s first home production Love Aaj Kal is postponed thereby upsetting the shooting schedule of Agent Vinod. As a result, Kareena’s dates for Agent Vinod are now clashing with Dhruv.

Sudhir, who had planned to begin the shooting of Dhruv on September 15, is trying hard to convince Kareena to play the film’s leading lady. Sudhir said, “I can’t imagine anyone else playing that role. Dhruv doesn’t have one but two heroes — Farhan and Kareena. She plays a combination of Paro in Devdas and Lady Macbeth.”

All Sudhir can do at the moment is keep his fingers crossed. He is more than willing to shuffle dates to suit Kareena’s busy schedule if she agrees to play the role. If all else fails, he intends to offer the role to Chitrangada Singh.
