Golmaal Returns is a sure shot hit and possibly a superhit if it sustains into its second week. The film started with excellent collections in the morning and is doing extraordinary well in the evening shows across the country. The bookings are extremely strong for Saturday as well, which means the film should record excellent figures over the extended weekend.

The opening for the first day was a bumper 95-100 per cent. The film has matched historic openers like Om Shanti Om and Singh Is Kinng on Day One in terms of capacity even though it was released on a lesser volume of shows than those films.

In fact, Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network says the film collected Rs 22.03 lakhs on Day One - more than Om Shanti Om and Singh Is Kinng. It's the best ever opening that Kareena has ever had for a film.

The first week record is held by Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif-starrer Welcome in the circuit which collected 1.20 crore over its first seven days.
