Kareena Kapoor arranges a special screening of her upcoming film Golmaal Returns for Ekta Kapoor, on whom her character is based

Soap queen Ekta Kapoor will get to see Golmaal Returns at a screening held especially for her by actress Kareena Kapoor.

A source close to Kareena revealed, “It was interesting for Kareena to play a character inspired by Ekta’s serials.

Kareena truly feels that her role is a tribute to Ekta, and hence, the special screening which will be held next week.”

Adds our source, “Kareena’s character is called Ekta in the film. And to bring the character to life, Kareena had even met Ekta to take tips from her.

She has been watching many soaps to get into the skin of the character of the loud, melodramatic wife.”

When contacted, Kareena said, “Yes, I am planning to show the film to Ekta. I am just waiting for the prints, which should be ready by next week.

My character in the film is a tribute to Ekta. We’ve been friends for years and I just have to show her the film before anyone else.”

Besides Ekta, Kareena will also invite Tusshar, director Lovely Singh, Karisma Kapur, Saif Ali Khan and her mother to the screening.
